Horses & Humans Journeying Together
At Equine Partners, we believe that horses have a unique ability to help us see the world — and ourselves — in a different light. Through their calm presence and intuitive nature, they invite us to learn in a practical, hands-on way that’s both deeply meaningful and great fun.
We combine experiential Equine Learning, Horsemanship, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and other therapeutic approaches in a unique way to support families, individuals, and groups as they navigate life’s challenges.
Our sessions help families dealing with a wide range of experiences, including:
Family breakdown, new step-parents, fostering, bereavement, domestic violence, school refusal, low self-esteem, anxiety, behavioural challenges, self-harm and suicidal thoughts (all ages), sexual exploitation, mental health issues, bullying, post-traumatic stress, elective mutism, attachment difficulties, and neurodiversity such as Autism, ADHD, ADD, Dyspraxia (DCD), PDA, Asperger’s, and Sensory Processing differences.
Unlike many Equine Assisted Learning providers, we don’t follow a set syllabus. Every session is tailored to the individual or family, allowing us to stay flexible and responsive to what’s needed on any given day. This approach ensures we can adapt as our clients grow, heal, and face new challenges — providing the right support as life unfolds.
In our Therapeutic Horsemanship Sessions, clients also have the option to work towards certificates and personal goals — a fun and rewarding way to celebrate progress and focused learning, always with room for flexibility and client lead choice.
Alongside our Family Equine Assisted Learning and Individual Therapeutic Horsemanship programmes, we offer a range of services designed to meet different needs, including:
-
1-2-1 NLP coaching
-
Corporate and team-building days
-
Wellbeing and Nourishment days
-
School horsemanship programmes
-
In-schools training for Teachers and Parent Focus Groups
-

The Hoofbeat Hangout is our vision for a vibrant, purpose-built horse playground at Equine Partners CIO - a space where hoofbeats mean hope, growth and belonging.
A vision that’s grown from real stories:
From anxious teens finding courage in a moment with a horse…
From exhausted parents catching their breath in the yard…
From young people standing a little taller after a session with our ponies…
From volunteers learning, growing and discovering new strengths…
From the ponies themselves asking for a space to play, learn and thrive…
This vision has evolved naturally, quietly, until it became too exciting to keep to ourselves.
Imagine:
Trail obstacles that spark courage
Working equitation challenges that inspire leadership
Mindfulness sessions under open skies
Outdoor fitness that feels purposeful and fun
Laughter bouncing across the yard
Connection. Sisterhood. Nourishment. Community.
The Hoofbeat Hangout isn’t just a field. It’s not just equipment.
It’s a space built intentionally, purposefully and with love - a place where children, teens and adults feel seen, capable and connected.
A place where:
A teenager can practice saying what they need and truly be heard
A child who dreads PE can discover freedom in movement and learn to love their body and feel powerful
Parents can exhale and settle their nervous systems
Women can reconnect with themselves and shine amidst the chaos
Professionals can safely bring young people, confident that they will be full supported to THRIVE
The Nurture Nook ...
As part of our new The Hoofbeat Hangout Project we have been working hard with our
clients and volunteers to create a truly magical outdoor space for everyone to enjoy
The Nurture Nook … as named by our Teens Group, is a space where we can
grow veggies, fruit and flowers, chill out and chat together, sit and watch
the ponies graze and learn to nurture the plants and ourselves
The children will be learning how to grow and try eating lots of different things, from unusual
veggies to edible plants!
We will also be growing things like carrots and herbs for the ponies and lots of strawberries
because everyone loves strawberries !
Make sure to come and take a look … and maybe plant something next time you come to visit!
We are raising £10,000 to purchase obstacles and specialist equipment needed to bring this inspiring outdoor arena to life. Designed for children, teens and adults, it will be far more than just a play space; it will be a safe, supportive environment where confidence grows, resilience strengthens, and people of all ages can move, laugh, learn and lead at their own pace.
We’ve already seen what happens here:
Confidence built
Nervous systems settle
Laughter replace shutdown
Relationships mend
Skills are learnt
Self-Esteems grows
With your support, we can create a joyful, therapeutic space where every hoofbeat helps change a life. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to creating a place where individuals can grow, heal and thrive.
Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us turn this vision into reality and building something together that our community will feel in every hoofbeat for years to come.
